Podcast launch checklist: everything you need before going live
Before launching a podcast you need cover art, a trailer episode, distribution on Spotify and Apple, at least two full episodes, show notes for each, and a launch social content pack.
Quick answer
- Cover art: 3000x3000px, readable at thumbnail size
- Trailer episode: 60–90 seconds explaining the show
- Distribution: Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and RSS
- At least 2 full episodes ready on launch day
- Show notes with timestamps for every episode
- Launch social pack: clips, quote graphics and announcement post
