How to livestream a conference or corporate event
Professional event livestreaming requires a switched multi-camera setup, dedicated encoder, stable upload connection, a live director, and distribution to your chosen platforms — all tested and rehearsed before the event starts.
Quick answer
- Test your venue upload speed well in advance — 10Mbps+ per stream is the minimum
- Use a dedicated encoder (hardware preferred) rather than software-only
- Multi-platform streaming requires an RTMP-capable encoder or streaming service
- Always have a backup stream and a contingency plan for technical failure
- A live director is essential for anything beyond a basic single-camera stream
